Strange Creatures

The sculptor AMROT works in bronze, wood, stone, and mixed media. He creates heads, figures, and animals in an almost archaic idi-om. His work reflects a reality that is not al-ways carefree. Cracks and fissures symbolize difficult passages while smooth, soft spaces indicate harmony. AMROT unites these con-trasting situations and signs in his sculptures to create a visual experience.

Each new figure is first modeled in clay or plaster. He then uses this model as the basis for the casting mold. He gives these small sculptures and reliefs a detailed finish and finally paints each one differently.
