Villard Salibi

Photography / Painting

Villard Salibi’s works exhibit a mixture of photography, painting and computer art. His works are shaped by various different cultural influences and are created through a specific montage process that uses layering, displacement and merging to open up new depths of space and color. Photographs of people, objects and cityscapes are artistically processed by computer and then printed on a range of printing media including handmade paper, canvas and photo cards. After the pictures are printed, he works on them further with acrylic oil paints or wax crayons and then applies several layers of sealant.
