Human being

Elke Pollack artworks deal with human beings and their existential states. Pollack roots the representation of her human figures in private, intimate spaces, or in a city environment against the backdrop of urban living environments. Her visual imagery uses metaphors, for example, there are often figures who appear to be constantly on the move: driven or hopeful people, who are always setting off again in order to get further in their lives. Embedded in simple, narrative stories with lightly ironic language, the figures inspire reflection. She has created a series of new, smaller works, a series of girls, women, mothers.
