Wolfgang Leonhardt

Berlin 3D Project

Wolfgang Leonhardt uses his works to tell short stories about Berlin and the rest of the world. He exhibits three-dimensional, Dadaistic, surreal collages. His montages of photos, drawings, wood and cardboard create bizarre, whimsical visual experiences in showcases, rather like miniature theaters.
He is an ironic flâneur and a detailed observer of everyday life. He lays some "ironic, humorous traps", which provoke spontaneous laughter, according to Hermann Jan Ooster. In his Volksgalerie (”People's Gallery”), Wolfgang Leonhardt presents 3D postcards, showcases, prints, Berlin mini-movies, greetings cards, illuminations and small sculptures.
