Heike Bobusch

The artworks of Heike Bobusch are created using airbrush guns. She works with liquid acrylic colors, most of which are transparent or semi-transparent. The pictures develop through several layers. Her own freehand templates only ever allow her to introduce a few details. The use of the templates reduces the object of the artwork to a dot matrix, which is overlaid layer by layer as the picture is built up. Unlike printing, the irregularities are hard to grasp at first glance, but in their structure and their color application they create a deliberate sense of unease, which supports the lively expression of the works. She also creates organic "color sculptures".
