More in One

Frauke Bergemann practices her artistic photography from a distinctly subjective perspective. She takes the seemingly objective observational quality of photography and combines it with her own visual experience.
The eye effectively glides across what is taking place like a panning camera shot in a movie. Their pictures only pretend to be individual photographs. In fact, they are the result of complex processes in the search for a more comprehensive image. The smooth transition between different perspectives and the consistent sharpness both close-up and from a distance, allow viewers to see things on their own and also see the whole. “More in One” is the working title for these photographic compositions, which aim to create a look and feel of three-dimensionality. This aesthetic produces large-scale photographs.
