Anne-Françoise Cart

Painting and Collages

Artistically, Anne-Françoise Cart strives for the original, the profound, the reduced, to peel back the layers of complexity.
This is a process of layering and overlapping different materials, characters and color tones.

Objects she finds and recycled materials like paper from old coffee pods all find their way into her work and leave their mark.

With this waste material she shapes and opens up her own reality and a new world of its own. She works with paper, fabric, shellac, oil pastels, pigments, acrylic and oil. She paints, scratches and repaints, shapes and patterns adds subtle bursts of color, creating the impression of an abstract landscape.
